This is just ADORABLE!!!! Can't stop looking at them. The style of these drawings brings out the kid in me. Have you ever thought about illustrating a childrens book? If so, I would definitely buy a copy
Thank you Stephanie! I Always wished to illustrate a children book but I Always ended up doing something else like animation, comics, backgrounds...sooner or later I'll assemble some stuff to show to some edithor, I defenetly have to do it.
Thank you Genevieve! I'm super glad you like these sketches, it rarely happens I feel free to put myself into a work made under commission, especially for the animation industry so....I'm satisfied with it. Beatrix Potter was the main reference of course but I get alot inspiration from the work of Richard Scarry as well. I love what it does.
Thanks Philip! I'll post more and more :) the blog is the true window of my passion for art, thank you for your support !
Good to hear. :) I agree, Beatrix Potter & Richard Scarry both have great work! I think I just saw a dvd of this Peter Rabbit today in a store! I recognized it out of the corner of my eye because it looked so much like your character designs & art. I was glad to see so much of your approach remained in the final product. Very nice!
Philip, well...it went the other way around, I mean...the model I received when I accepted the commission was the same one you saw on tape, it was already done, my task was to place the characters in specific actions and attitudes, let's say what I posted is my way to be out of model...ahah, but I didn't have to get too close to the final model since these are inspirational. I'm glad you vrote this comment because I can correct the post to avoid misunderstanding, thanks.
