This is calling for creation of some brilliant visual novel with Meka Chan as main heroine!

If only they were so beautifully painted...:)

ZM, thank you! I'm really in to it, I'm focused on metabolized the 70's graphical spirit, that way to plan an image, that way to show things and to hide other things.
I'm really in love with the assence of narcissism in many art pieces of that period of time, I can see pure joy.

Hey Claudio,

I know this is an older post, but I just found your blog and I'm captivated by your drawings. Would you please share with me some of your inspirations? I'm curious about the 70s art you described in your comment. Thank you :)

Ciao Irisa, sorry for my late reply but I discovered your comment today.
Thanks for your kind compliments,
about my inspirations....well, most of the japanese tv series made during the 70's like, Ace wo nerae , Versailles no Bara (and other Osamu Dezaki stuff),Heidi, Conan the boy of the future, Galaxy Express 999 (really intense one), all the Go Nagai and so on,
about illustrations... I just discovered Gerald Rose which I feel is fantastic and then of course Ronald Searle, Sokol, Sasek,Quentin Blake, Bill Peet, Richard Scarry, Charles Addams...just to mention some.
I often take a look here, it's full of gems (well this is more 50's and 60's stuff)
